The works of artist Evgeny Monakhov are vibrant and unusual paintings dedicated to our contemporaries. The artist doesn't adhere to a specific style – he paints in realism, neorealism, impressionism, and neoimpressionism. His subjects are often captured in the moment, in the midst of action or impulse. In this way, his paintings resemble photographs.

Evgeny Monakhov was born in Moscow on July 10, 1974. After finishing school, in 1991, he entered the Moscow Art School in Memory of 1905. After this, he studied at the Surikov Art Institute, the most prestigious university in his field.

In 2002, Monakhov was accepted into the International Federation of Artists and the National Union of Artists. His paintings are highly prized not only in his home country. His canvases can be seen in art galleries in the UK, Ireland, the USA, Italy, and France. In 2004, his exhibition in Japan was a great success.

Monakhov's paintings are sold at major auctions worldwide. His most expensive work, "Passion for Color," was purchased at Sotheby's for $38,000. Dozens of Evgeny's paintings are in private collections around the world.

Studying Evgeny Monakhov's paintings, it's easy to see that he loves the color red. His most appealing motifs are Latin American ones. Many of the artist's paintings are dedicated to dance and simply ooze with passion. He paints some works from life, carefully selecting his subjects. In these works, the artist pays attention not so much to appearance as to energy.
