Frank De Mulder was born on August 22, 1963, in Ghent, Belgium. He discovered the world of photography at the age of 12, and from then on, he invested all his free time and money in his hobby. Frank bought cameras, textbooks, and albums so prolifically that by the time he graduated from high school, his room resembled a photography museum. 
After graduating from the RITCS directing department in Brussels, De Mulder entered the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent, where he graduated with honors. After receiving his diploma, he began working in his specialty as a director of short films and commercials. Throughout this time, photography remained his passion. It wasn't until he was 29 that Frank realized he only wanted to take pictures. 
Frank De Mulder is now one of the most award-winning erotic photographers in the world. He has won numerous exhibitions and competitions. He has published photo books: Senses (2007), Pure (2010), Glorious (2013), Heaven (2015), and Tribute (2017). 
The photographer is often asked what he would like to do if he left professional photography. De Mulder has no answer to this question:
"I will never stop. I would go crazy without it. Never see or experience all this beauty again? Never."
