Ephraim Rodriguez - a master who has learned the philosophy of wood (16 photos)
Wood is a fairly affordable and simple material. It is not used so often in art, mainly in construction and finishing work. But this master clearly proves that wood is very underrated. And its potential is much deeper than it might seem at first glance.
There is not much publicly available information about the sculptor’s personal life. It is known that Ephraim Rodriguez Cobos was born into a family of artists in Valencia in 1971. He received a degree in art from the University of Barcelona in 1999, where he has taught sculpture since 2005.

The works of the sculptor, who uses not the most popular and durable material, are a vivid example of the harmonious combination of ordinary everyday images and deep philosophical content.
The peculiarity of his creations is the observance of real proportions, careful elaboration of details and the use of contrasting elements when creating compositions. Many works were “copied” from real models, which were the sculptor’s nephews.
Some people find Rodriguez's work scary. But in any case, one cannot deny their attractiveness and a certain amount of mysticism with complete external realism.
