American musician Danny Scott Lane is known worldwide as a composer and performer of electronic music. He is much less known as a photographer. Lane, however, is as much a professional photographer as he is a musician. His work has been published in popular glossy magazines, and he is a regular participant in photography exhibitions.

Danny Scott Lane's photographs can be seen on the pages of such publications as Vogue Italia, Playboy, I-D, Hunger, Schon, MyDomaine, Coveteur, Brooklyn, and Numero. The editors of the latter are particularly fond of his work and have repeatedly featured it on their covers.

Lane's work as a photographer is difficult to pin down to any particular style or genre. He shoots portraits, urban and natural landscapes, erotica, and still life photography for advertising. In his work, Danny uses both modern digital cameras and vintage 35mm film cameras. He works with both color and monochrome images.

Lane's work is characterized by unconventional framing and a minimum of extraneous objects. He eschews gravity, placing his models upside down or posing them in unusual ways. His photographs are always rich in light, color, and advertising-like brightness.
