Great Britain in 3D (18 photos)

Don't rush to adjust your monitor. You're looking at 3D photographs by Jason Hawkes, taken in the UK. You'll need 3D glasses, and fortunately, they're easy to make yourself. Here's the photographer's advice: "I usually fly a Eurocopter AS355 helicopter. I sit in the back, and before the flight, I remove the doors so they're out of the way. I shoot with Nikon D3X and D3S cameras with lenses ranging from 14mm to 300mm. Helicopters are just awful, especially considering I change them three times a week. Eventually, through trial and error, I realized it's just as easy to shoot with just one camera if you have the time. Once you've taken the photo, you can use standard Anaglyph equipment to manipulate the photos, and the result is these stereoscopic photographs. Viewing them through chromatically opposed lenses creates a full 3D effect."
