American artist Ron Schwerin paints beautiful still lifes. The fresh fruits and vegetables in his paintings are simply begging to be served. However, Schwerin is better known for his striking nude female portraits, although he didn't paint many of them.

Ron Schwerin was born in 1940 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. He began displaying his talent for painting as a child, so his parents didn't object when Ron went to study at Pratt Institute in New York.

It's worth noting that the artist's entire life has been connected with Pratt Institute. After receiving his bachelor's degree, he remained there to teach. Today, Schwerin also lectures on painting and drawing at two other prestigious US universities: the New York Institute of Technology and the University of Rhode Island.

Despite his advanced age and busy schedule, Ron Schwerin continues to paint and participate in exhibitions at home and abroad. He also works as a freelance photographer. Working with a camera, he has also achieved significant success and has won numerous prestigious competitions.

Ron Schwerin's female portraits are painted in a realistic style. All were created from life. The artist places a minimum of objects on the canvas, and most often only the woman appears in the painting. At first glance, the artist's works appear monotonous, but upon closer inspection, one can notice numerous details that make each painting unique.
