American artist Ron Schwerin is a renowned master of still lifes. His paintings of vegetables, fruits, and flowers have repeatedly won first place in major competitions. But we want to introduce you to another side of this artist's work. The artist excels not only at painting carrots and tulips, but also nudes.

Ron Schwerin was born in 1940 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It's tempting to say he began drawing as a child, but that's not true. From school, Ron was passionate about photography and had little interest in painting.

After high school, he attended the prestigious Pratt Institute in New York, where he earned a degree in art. Afterward, Schwerin devoted himself to his favorite work – becoming a freelance photographer.

Only after working as a photographer for several years did Ron become seriously interested in painting. He began with still lifes and, with an excellent art education and a keen eye for photography, quickly achieved success.

The time came when Schwerin the artist's paintings became more in demand than Schwerin the photographer's photographs. And then the master gave in and immersed himself entirely in painting. Having tried his hand at erotica, he realized he could do it too.

Today, Ron Schwerin's still lifes and female portraits can be seen in renowned art galleries and private collections. Oddly enough, still lifes still provide him with income, and the subjects for his most prized paintings are not languid beauties, but fresh vegetables.
