Beyond-worlds by artist Denis Nunes Rodrigues
Denis Núñez Rodríguez is a contemporary Cuban artist who works in the genres of realism and surrealism. His paintings are difficult to understand, but precisely because of this, they are so captivating. The artist depicts an alternative reality, where everything is arranged differently than ours. The only constant is female beauty, which is always at the center of the composition.
Denis Núñez Rodríguez was born in 1967 in Matanzas, Cuba. His parents had no connection to art. The artist's father was in the military, and his mother was a seamstress.
But when Denis began drawing, his parents understood his choice. In 1982, the boy entered the Provincial Art School of Matanzas. After graduating in 1986, he continued his studies at the National School of Art. There, he received a diploma in drawing and later qualified as a professor of painting.
Denis Nunez Rodriguez devoted most of his life to children. He worked as a drawing teacher at a school and also taught at a pedagogical institute. And of course, the artist never stopped creating his amazing and beautiful paintings.
The artist regularly exhibits his work through cultural organizations such as the United Artists World Organization, Art Without Borders for Peace, and the Aires de Cordoba Cultural Association.
The artist's portraits are characterized by psychological and distinctive elements, reflecting the subjects' states of intimacy, loneliness, and captivity. Furthermore, in his canvases, elements of still life and landscape are often found in states impossible to comprehend.
