Aliens Among Us – An Upside-Down Face That Resembles an Alien (13 photos) Photo)

Have you ever noticed that if you turn a photo of a human face upside down, what you see seriously resembles the face of a member of an extraterrestrial civilization? South African photographer Anelia Loubser demonstrated this strange facial structure in her photo project "Alienation."

It looks quite unusual, but the idea of the photo project is to look at ordinary things from an unusual perspective.

Photographer Anelia Loubser, who lives and works in Cape Town, wanted to show with her project that even the slightest change in the perspective from which we view the world around us can completely alter our perception of things.

This collection of unique portraits, taken upside down, challenges the viewer and invites them to change their usual perspective.

According to the author, within each of them lives an "alienable being," as depicted in the photographs.

What's wrong with them? We often ask ourselves this question when we look at people who seem different: different or, in our opinion, strange. Sometimes we ask ourselves the same question: what's wrong with me? We tend to feel alienated: rejection of others, hostility towards them, and sometimes we even feel lonely and rejected.

According to psychologists, alienation has become a real problem for our civilization.

What can help people stop being alienated? The author of these unusual portraits provides the answer: we need to change our perspective on things, on ourselves, and on what's happening around us.

By shifting perspective, the author created completely new, unique faces. If we shift perspective, perhaps we too will see the world through different eyes.
