Cats have inspired artists for thousands of years. From the paintings on the walls of Egyptian pyramids to modern graphic design, graceful and elegant, they softly step from one work of art to another. Photographers are also keen to capture the marvelous balancing acts of these acrobats. Photographer Sabrina Boem admires her feline brethren so much that she has dedicated years to creating stunning images featuring cats. She calls herself a "catographer" and began photographing cats six years ago when she adopted her first stray cat.

Since then, she has been working on several cat photography projects. One of her latest collections is dedicated to the behavioral peculiarities of "single-track" cats. This name was coined for cats that balance on rails, tree branches, and other narrow supports. Their movement through the narrow passages makes them resemble single-track trams.

"I love observing cats in all kinds of situations. I find them very funny when they apply their feline logic to ordinary life situations. I've met many cats with one-track minds and photographed them outdoors. They love to sleep in the most inconvenient places," the photographer says.





The photographer's portfolio consists of black-and-white photographs of cats, which demonstrate that for these animals, no space is too small or too inconvenient. Their paws fit everywhere: plump, fluffy felines perch on the tops of tall trees and squeeze through narrow fences.

Sabrina Boehm's photographs show each of these fearless feline heroes balancing like a talented acrobat on a tightrope. It's no wonder, after all, that cats have nine lives.
