The Frog Princess: An Indonesian Photographer Captures the Unexpected Facets of Ordinary Frogs (21 photos)
Tanto Jensen is an Indonesian photographer who takes incredible photographs of frogs. This Jakarta-based nature lover has a knack for gaining the trust of his subjects and getting up close to these amazing amphibians, capturing detailed images of their unexpectedly fascinating world.
Jensen uses a Canon Eos60D with a Canon EF100mm f/2.8L lens. His work has received over 500,000 views on the photography website 500px, which is no surprise given his portfolio. He photographs frogs underwater, on branches, riding turtles and crocodiles, and even uses snails to give a frog a Princess Leia-esque hairstyle. Jensen's photographs show frogs as we've never seen them before – not as nasty, slippery creatures, but as beautiful, active, living beings.
