Dronestagram is the first global platform dedicated to drone photography. It brings together talented professionals and amateurs of aerial photography from all over the world. By sharing their work, they show us the world in a way that few people have the chance to see.

Aerial photography has a long history. The first aerial photograph was taken by Gaspard-Félix Tournachon (Nadar) in 1858 over Paris, rising in a hot air balloon. His colleagues used more exotic methods - photography from a kite and pigeon aerial photography. Finally, with the spread of drones, aerial photography began to be talked about as a new photographic language.

The Dronestagram platform accumulates the best aerial photographs from around the world, taken by the best photographers who shoot with the best drones, and together "build a map of the world." This is reported in the welcome post of the community. From 2014 to 2019, Dronestagram held a photo contest in which participants competed in the categories "Nature", "People", "City", "Creative approach". The initiative has been suspended for the last couple of years, the reasons for which were reported by the organizer of the community - stricter laws regarding permission to shoot with drones.
