Women in the daring portraits of Mark Olefirov (20 photos)

Young photographer Mark Olefirov goes by the online nickname MadnessBrains. In fact, many of his works are so unusual that they seem crazy. To beginners who ask him how to start taking photographs, Mark advises "don't start." Firstly, if that's the question, photography is definitely not your calling. And secondly, if you manage to start, you'll never finish.

Mark Olefirov considers two cities to be his hometowns: St. Petersburg and Norilsk. He decided to become a photographer unexpectedly, inspired by an unsuccessful photo shoot with a professional photographer. "Why not try, maybe I can do better," Mark thought, and he did.

People start creating for different reasons. Some express themselves, others dream of fame and money. For Mark, it's simply a way to avoid being alone.

The photographer claims he doesn't have any specific idea behind his photographs. He says everyone finds their own meaning. Oliferov's photographs are always unique. These can be underground and erotic, but sometimes the artist is drawn to the classics.

While some of Mark Olefirov's work appears outrageous and provocatively erotic, it is not off-putting. Carefully selected models, a simple and pleasant setting, and cinematic lighting make his photographs artistic and engaging.
