Ruslan Bolgov is one of the most interesting photographers in the post-Soviet space. He works in a wide variety of genres, including erotica. His photographs possess a magical magnetism that makes you want to look at them again and again. They combine an extraordinary concept with high technical execution.

Ruslan Bolgov made his first attempts at photography back in the 1980s, using a Zenit film camera. But these experiments remained at the amateur level. After completing his studies at the St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance, Bolgov abandoned photography, and for many years his priorities were family and work.

Ruslan returned to photography in the 2000s. He acquired a professional camera and began mastering the craft from the ground up. He says he always wanted to learn to draw, but somehow it never worked out. Photography helped him realize his childhood dream of creating.

Despite his vast array of beautiful works, Ruslan Bolgov still considers himself a budding photographer. Self-education takes up a significant portion of his time. The photographer admits to learning new techniques through YouTube tutorials, and is often inspired to create new photo shoots by others' photographs.

Bolgov's erotica can be described as glamorous. The women in his photographs look perfect and are often captured in stylish interiors. The photographer loves dressing his models in striking dresses and unusual lingerie, surrounding them with flowers and antique furnishings.

Many of the photos are taken by the sea. Ruslan lives and works in the Lithuanian city of Klaipeda, so he readily uses the Baltic beaches and sea waves as his backdrop.
