The organisers of the Funniest Pet Photo Competition believe that pets make people's lives more fun, and the 40 finalists for 2021 are proof of that. "Get your cameras and phones on and take pictures of your dog, cat, hamster or budgie doing something funny because your entry could win you £3,000," the organisers say.

You can enter the Comedy Pet Photography Awards from anywhere in the world. There is a £1.95 entry fee for 1 image, £5 for 5 images and £10 for 15 images. A tenth of the proceeds will go to charities that help sick, injured, abandoned and homeless animals. Entries are accepted in several categories: Dogs: Our Best Friends, Cats: Our Incredible Felines, The Mighty Horse, All Other Creatures Great and Small, Pets Like Their Owners and a Junior category for participants aged 16 and under.
