Born in England in 1950. Louis Schebner had already been a celebrated creator of glamor portraits of famous women in his native England for over twenty-five years before becoming one of the last pin-up artists to work for Brown and Bigelow. Of the many visual media, Schebner preferred gouache, although the artist was no less successful in other techniques. In 1952, a monograph calendar of his works in the pin-up style was published.
