Born in Moscow, in the family of a doctor. The father was a gifted man, his passion for art was passed on to his son. Vladimir entered the 11th men's gymnasium, and in the last grades he studied at a Soviet school. From the age of 14 he worked part-time: he drew diagrams for health care exhibitions, diplomas for winners of sports competitions, worked as an orderly in the first communist Red Army hospital, and as a physical education instructor in junior high schools. Studied at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
