Italian artist Walter Girotto creates beautiful paintings dedicated to women. His works can be described as erotic fantasies imbued with hidden meaning. While the artist's focus may seem to be on the beautiful female body, the ideas behind Girotto's paintings are actually much deeper and touch on philosophical questions.

Walter Girotto was born in 1953 in the small town of Rovigo, in the Veneto region. When he was still a child, his family was forced to move to Turin in search of work.

Girotto began drawing at the age of four. He says his first full-fledged work was a picture of a whale, drawn in kindergarten. After that, Walter never stopped experimenting with painting and achieved success.

The artist's first major exhibition was Art Expo 1985 in New York. There, something unexpected happened: all of Girotto's paintings were sold within 20 minutes of the exhibition opening. He even had to apologize to the guests for bringing so few works.

A more than successful debut in New York made Girotto a regular exhibitor at Art Expo. But in 1987, he met art agent Robert Bain, who significantly expanded the geography of his exhibitions. In 1988, the artist's paintings appeared at the Tamara Bain Gallery in Los Angeles, where they were equally astonishingly popular.
