Snow Paintings with Snowshoes (10 photos)

Sonja Hinrichsen's original winter project features amazing snow drawings made with ordinary snowshoes. A winter version of crop circles, so to speak.

To create these masterpieces, Sonja Hinrichsen assembled a team of 10 people. (Steamboataerials)

They put on snowshoes and went out to create. (Steamboataerials)

It happened in Steamboat Springs on Rabbit Ears Pass, Colorado, USA. (Steamboataerials)

These circles resemble those we've seen in crops – spirals unfolding outward, connected by a single line. (Steamboataerials)

And although the masterpiece is temporary – until the snow melts (or new snow falls), you can immortalize this "work of art" in a photograph. (Steamboataerials)

Sonja Hinrichsen is a promising artist who studied at the San Francisco Art Institute. (Steamboataerials)
