SkyPixel Winners Announced: The Best Drone Photos (25 photos)

Every year, the SkyPixel team seeks out the best drone photos and awards the winners with some seriously cool prizes. This year's winner, Derik Baumgörtner, for example, received $12,090 worth of camera equipment for his magical shot of Mount Saint-Michel in Normandy, France. The winners in the other categories are in our selection.





The mountain, visited by three million people annually, is a unique place in its own right, and this photo makes it even more stunning! Derik Baumgörtner himself says he never imagined he would be a nominee for this prestigious competition, much less win.

Derick has been interested in aerial photography since the first DJI Phantom camera hit the market in 2013. He currently owns a DJI Mavic Pro 1 camera and is very pleased with both its functionality and its travel-friendly size.
