Slovenian scientist Matjaž Čater holds a PhD in forest ecophysiology and works at the Slovenian Forestry Institute. The young scientist also enjoys soaring above the ground at altitudes of 800-1000 meters in his own hang glider. One day, a colleague of Matjaž's asked him to take some photos of a forest belt for his work. This is how Matjaž the photographer, now a renowned aerial landscape photographer, was born.
