Beautiful designs made from coffee stains (11 photos)
If you accidentally knock over your coffee cup, don't worry. And before you wipe the table, think that maybe a saucer, a teaspoon, a cookie, a sugar cube or just your finger would be perfect for creating a small, albeit short-lived, masterpiece. This is exactly what contemporary artist Giulia Bernardelli does. Using a favorite drink of many instead of canvas, paints and a brush, she creates wonderful works.
Julia is one of those artists who prefer to “play” with random coffee stains on a white surface. First, she creates a small sketch of coffee paint on a piece of paper or on the bottom of a cup, after which she takes a photo with the cup overturned or standing next to it. The result is very interesting images, similar to a mixture of painting and photography. The most surprising thing is that she avoids the use of brushes and other tools that artists most often use. All she needs is spoons, toothpicks and fingers.
