Photos of Tokyo at night by Masashi Wakuya (18 photos)
It is generally accepted that life in the city is vibrant only during the day, and at night it falls asleep and rests from the constant stomping, hum of cars, and voices of people. In fact, this is not entirely true, because at night the city has its own, special form of life.
Japanese photographer Masashi Wakui tried to show what life looks like at night in his hometown. He took a series of photographs of Tokyo at night that are simply mesmerizing. Indeed, small cramped streets, shopping arcades and the most crowded places during the day look completely different here.
