On the island of Hokkaido, a photographer managed to capture a rare and incredibly cute inhabitant of the northern forests - the Ezo-momonga, a subspecies of the flying squirrel. This tiny creature with huge black eyes, a round body and fluffy fur looks like a living plush toy.
