This jeweler is considered one of the most famous, working in the Art Nouveau style. The works of Ilgiz Fazulzyanov are recognizable due to their unique animalistic design and the use of extremely thin metal thickness.

Ilgiz was born in 1968 in Zelenodolsk. Already from childhood he demonstrated an interest in art. And he even entered art school on his own, without notifying his parents of the decision.

After graduating from school and the Kazan Art College with a degree in graphic design, the graduate served in the army and began designing store windows, while simultaneously studying jewelry and creating his first jewelry.

In his work, the aspiring author combined historical and cultural heritage with modern trends and techniques. Since 1997 he began working with enamels. During this period, the author gradually moved away from traditional national styles to modernity.

After moving to Moscow in 2003, he attracted several assistants. After 6 years, Ilgiz’s works began to be accepted for auction at Christie’s (London) and Bonhams (New York).

In 2016, the jeweler exhibited his jewelry at the Moscow Kremlin Museum. The case became unique, since Fazulzyanov became the first domestic jeweler since Faberge to receive such an honor. Of the 186 works, the museum bought 25 for itself.

The jeweler draws inspiration from the perfect creations of nature and clear geometric shapes. And he believes that regardless of the direction of creativity, there is no need to strive for ideality. Ilgiz is sure that the meaning and message are more important, thanks to which any viewer, upon seeing the fruit of the master’s hands, will feel joy and feel beauty.
