A whirlpool of stars (11 photos)
Australian photographer Lincoln Harrison captured the movement of stars across the night sky using a long exposure (up to 15 hours). The shoot took place near Lake Eppalock near the city of Bendigo in Victoria, Australia. This area has a rather tragic history: it was long inhabited by the Tja-Tja-Wurrung tribe, who were simply swept off their land by prospectors who discovered gold there and founded Bendigo.
