Harmony in the Midst of the Metropolis: Yoga in the Big City (18 photos)

Alexey Wind is a successful Los Angeles-based photographer who created the large-scale and impressive photo project "Yoga in the Big City." With it, he wanted to show how people living in a bustling metropolis not only maintain peace but also surround themselves with happiness and harmony. After all, spiritual growth shouldn't depend on one's surroundings.





Alexey began photographing yogis in his favorite city, New York, and then yoga enthusiasts from other major cities joined the project. The photographer posts his best shots on Instagram and leaves inspiring captions for each one.



"During my trip to India, I came up with the idea to create this series of photographs," says American photographer Alexey Wind. "I wanted to show people who are able to achieve harmony even in the heart of the world's largest cities.

With my photo project "Yoga in the Big City," I wanted to show people who are passionate about the philosophy of yoga and yet live in a big city, in the midst of all the hustle and bustle, yet still maintain inner peace and surround themselves with happiness and harmony. The spiritual component of each of us is extremely important, and it doesn't matter what surrounds you: the Himalayas or skyscrapers on a busy street. Only your inner world and your perspective truly matter.



This series of photographs combines art, spirituality, and sports. It reflects the human strength that allows us to overcome adversity and find balance in this rapidly changing environment. Yoga is a way to get closer to our true selves, to become closer to our spiritual core.



My sincere advice to everyone is to follow your own path, guided by your soul. Do what you truly love, and do it with all the passion you can.



We live in a beautiful and unique world, and it's important not to lose ourselves in the daily hustle and bustle, but to continue enjoying every moment...
