British designer Liana Lang specializes in surreal photography, playing with her favorite pastime and bringing new meaning to the action. Her photo project "Monumental Delusion" explores complicity with Soviet monuments in former Soviet bloc countries. By posing against the backdrop of heroes of bygone times, she challenges stereotypical thinking.
All photos were taken in the Budapest Monumental Sculpture Park.

In one photo, she's nearly crushed by a giant's boot; in another, she's pressed against the wall, afraid of being knocked down by a crowd of athletes; here she's hiding at the giant's feet; and here we see her among the soldiers.
Thus, Liana, by combining scenes of political satire with witty moments of reverie, attempted to convey the transition from one regime to another, a reassessment of the values of the modern world, and a shift in consciousness.
