Flora Borsi, a young and talented photographer from Hungary, has gained fame thanks to her impeccable mastery of photo manipulation.
In this photo project, she decided to create self-portraits with one of her eyes overlapping that of an animal. The striking surrealism is achieved through the use of color filters and the necessary props.
"I wanted to show how unique animals are, how special every little detail is, and yet how similar we are to them in some way," Borsi shares. "I once tried to take a selfie with my dog, and its eye looked exactly like mine. That photo inspired me to create the project. Each portrait takes approximately 15-20 hours, including makeup, hair styling, and other manipulations. Retouching takes about 12 hours."
With her mystical project, the young talented photographer wanted to show how much people and animals have in common.
