Dogs in cars (11 photos)

It's impossible not to smile when you look at these cute dog faces sticking out of car windows. This is part of a photo project and blog called "Dogs in Cars" by Los Angeles-based photographer Lara Jo Regan.

These photos feature dogs of all breeds, enjoying the wind on their tongues and the refreshing breeze on their fur. This is simple canine happiness!







"I usually do some complicated and weird photo projects to make sure no one else does the same thing," says Lara Jo Regan.

"But as the owner of three dogs in Los Angeles, a city full of cars, I knew a photo project like this was exactly what I needed."



"Most dogs go crazy the moment they get in cars, and I wanted to capture that amazing, primal energy in my photos."

Regan has published a 2014 calendar based on Dogs in Cars, and her book will be released in spring 2014.
