The "Twins" Project by Hungarian Photographer János Štekovich (13 photos) photo)
Photographer Janos Stekovics, who moved to Germany, created a collection of portraits of unusual twin farmers. In 1980, he visited the village where the 63-year-old Lukás brothers lived to photograph them.
The twins Janos and Istvan lived in the Hungarian Puszta region and, during their sedentary life in the village, accumulated many identical items: two bicycles, two traditional shepherd's outfits, two saddles, identical clothing—they liked to emphasize their similarity in this way and, undoubtedly, mislead their fellow villagers.

They didn't smoke or drink alcohol, but they cared for their pets and garden, which provided them with everything they needed. A well stood near the house, and this was their source of water. The house had no sewer, running water, or electricity. The twins liked their way of life; everything suited them.
The photographs were published in the book “Die Junggesellen”.
