A Hong Kong street photographer captures unexpected moments
Edas Wong loves wandering the streets with his camera. He captures moments when images in the foreground and background interact and create new meanings.
Wong began practicing street photography in 2012.
“The reason I chose this type of photography over any other is actually quite simple. I didn't need to learn advanced techniques or have expensive equipment, just my small camera. Perfect for a beginner,” he shared on social media.

“To take a memorable street photo, I try to clear my mind as much as possible and really focus on the street itself.”
Being present and immersed in an area allows Wong to notice even the smallest details and capture events as they unfold, in ways that are impossible to anticipate and occur in a split second.
"When I shoot, it's all instinctive; I don't plan my shots. I just go out and enjoy everything around me," Wong said.
