One with nature: An artist blends people into picturesque landscapes with body art
Nature's beauty cannot be overshadowed—it can only be imitated. A Dallas-based artist brings people closer to their natural surroundings. In her photography project, she adds human figures to natural landscapes using body art. The artist has created a series of works in which the models are indistinguishable against the backdrop of colorful landscapes. The goal of this American artist's work is to enable people to see each other through the "lens of nature." Admire these amazing photographs in our article.
Trina Merry's project is based on body positivity, and the artist was inspired by nature itself and its picturesque settings. She imagines the human body as analogous to the surrounding world.
This talented Dallas resident photographs landscapes around the world and combines them with models, creating magical works of art. The artist uses body painting techniques and "incorporates" her subjects into the surroundings of the photographs.
To find the perfect location for her next masterpiece, Trina can spend an entire day searching. During a shoot, painting a model's body takes between 30 minutes and an hour and a half.
The artist often travels with her models, as phone service is sometimes unavailable in remote locations, making it difficult for them to find each other.
Trina says the coronavirus pandemic has brought stress and fear, but hopes her work will remind society that nature always creates balance. Nothing in our world lasts forever.
The artist believes her project will help people change their attitudes toward their bodies. She cites the undeniable beauty of nature as evidence.
"We never say that trees or mountains need to lose weight. Then why are we so critical of ourselves?" the American artist says.
The beauty of nature is wild, unbridled, and free. Trina wants people to see each other through a "nature lens" and focus on the beauty that lies in the uniqueness of each person's body.
Korean artist Dain Yoon creates something incredible. The student at the Korea National University of Arts creates stunning optical illusions on her own body using makeup.
