3. Landscape Photographer of the Year: Arctic Silence 5, Patrick Ems

4. Landscape, Honorable Mention: That Lonely Tree, Helen Trust

The famous Lonely Tree at sunrise in Valensole, Provence.

5. Aerial photography, 2nd place: "Basketball in the shadows III", Kateryna Polischuk

When building a basketball court in a city park in Kharkov (Ukraine), a team of designers made a creative decision to show respect for nature and leave this large tree.

6. Abstract, Honorable Mention: "ROJA" by Benjamin Quadfleg

ROJA is a series of photographs about La Muralla Roja, a famous residential building by architect Ricardo Bofils. He is known for his use of colors and shapes. The series of photographs captures this unique ensemble in a minimalist, abstract manner.

7. Abstract Photographer of the Year: "Color Roll Call", Gleici Rufatto

A series of geometric images exploring the interaction of color, form and material. It's as if the colors are talking to each other and inviting the viewer to look at it.

8. Abstract, 2nd place: "Magic Angles", Matthias Yamakasino Brandt

"I took this series of photographs in Switzerland, the Canary Islands, Austria and Spain. My goal as a photographer is to find angles that reveal unexpected beauty in the combination of geometric shapes and colors. The simplicity invites you to almost forget that you are looking at real buildings. At that moment, magic happens and you are immersed in the painting, forgetting everything around you."

9. Aerial Photography, 3rd Place: “Pink on Pink,” Magali Chesnel

Greater flamingos fly out of the wild lagoon of the island of Saint-Martin, located in the south of France. The color of greater flamingos changes depending on the season. Almost white in the summer, their plumage turns bright pink in the winter. This is when they engage in courtship to attract a future partner. This color is due to the beta-carotene contained in the algae, shore fly larvae, and plankton on which they feed in this marsh environment. The pink color of the water is due to the algae dunaliella salina, which is also rich in beta-carotene.

10. Landscape, 2nd place: “Winter Poplars” by Andrew Melzynski

“During the pandemic, I went for a walk in the park. There was a huge snowstorm. I liked how the snow, driven by a strong wind, dug into the bark of the tree trunks. Snow on the bark creates a textural contrast that adds detail to the trees. I took several shots trying to simplify the scene in front of me, and settled on this one: I liked the tones, depth, order, and minimalism. Even in a chaotic scene, there is a sense of balance that feels orderly and pleasing.”

11. Night Scene, Honorable Mention: "Prize Run" by Wai Ho Mok

“This photo shows a pair of grey reef sharks stalking their prey during a night hunt. The photo was taken in South Fakarava, French Polynesia, a very remote location where sharks are abundant. Sharks are aggressive when hunting at night, and Fakarava is one of the few places where night diving is not prohibited due to the risks. The prey was hiding among cracks and crevices in the coral. What followed was a high-speed chase in the pitch black of the night. I was finning hard and following the chase, furiously photographing the action, and was lucky enough to capture this photo.”

12. Aerial, Honorable Mention: Beach Bliss by Simon Heather

"Sun worshippers bring their brightest towels, swimsuits and umbrellas to the shores of Cascais, Portugal, creating a wonderful wallpaper of vibrant colors that shimmer with life when viewed from above. Life is better on the beach!"

13. Abstract, 3rd Place: "Water World" (Oil and Water Studies), Beth Buelow

Part of finding balance and harmony between elements that are not supposed to mix. Created using double exposure in camera.

14. Architecture, 2nd Place: "White on White" by Janet Capling

"I drove past this house the day after a Canadian winter snowstorm. The pristine snow in front and on the roof made for a perfect minimalist photo. What makes this architecture unique is the lack of steps and a balcony at the two doors."

15. Fine Art Photographer of the Year: "Tenderness" by Hilda Champion

Delicacy, grace, elegance, tenderness, subtlety, vulnerability.

16. Photo Manipulation, 2nd Place: "Road Home" by Jun Yunjung Jeong

"Road home after a day of work. The moment everyone is waiting for."

17. Long Exposure, Honorable Mention: On Decision Making, Jan Pudil

"This is a photo from Rhodes. With the long exposure I wanted to emphasize that the diver had been thinking for a long time before jumping."

18. Photo manipulation, 3rd place: "Tunnel", Selina Bressan

"I turned the main entrance of the building into a tunnel leading to a new world. This painting is part of a series called "Suns"."

19. Architecture, Honorable Mention: Windows by Manfred Gruber

Austria/ Vienna/ Courtyard.

20. Street Photography, Honorable Mention: Escape by Marco Wilm

"This photograph was taken in Berlin in May 2024. It depicts a boy running and jumping from one white circle to another."

21. Aerial Photographer of the Year: "Winter Drawings" by Evgeny Samuchenko

"I created this series of aerial photographs in the Carpathians. In these parts, houses are located on low mountains, sometimes close to the forest. This allows me to see more minimalistic scenes of rural life. Snow-capped mountains resemble a clean sheet of paper, and the combination of rural life and nature creates simple, but no less amazing sketches, reminiscent of pencil drawings. This is especially noticeable from above, so I chose a drone for this project. I spent many days hiking in the winter Carpathians in search of interesting objects for this series."

22. Architectural Photographer of the Year: Another Brick in the Wall, Les Forrester

“It’s not often you see a modern building made of brick these days, so it’s a nice change from the steel, glass and concrete we usually see.”

23. Photo Manipulation Photographer of the Year: Inner Visions by George Byrne

“With the Innervisions series, I wanted to explore ideas related to the subconscious, looking at dreams and symbols. The resulting images, although based in the urban environments of Los Angeles and Miami, are very much dreamscapes. I also tried to approach some of the images as abstract paintings—they are impressions, heavily edited and assembled in a way that promotes the composition rather than the context.”

24. Fine Art, Honorable Mention: "Parking Lot" by Rob Chambliss

Danville, California.

25. Portrait Photographer of the Year: "Anna" by Eva Chupikova

"Anna draws inspiration from the Renaissance, which saw a resurgence of classical artistic values and principles such as harmony and proportion."
