Lightness, conciseness and minimalism distinguish the work of this photographer. But the lack of bright colors and lots of detail make Hoflener's photos attractive rather than boring. 
Joseph Hoflener was born in 1955 in Australia. The family did not share the guy’s passion for photography, considering it a frivolous matter. But he did not want to give up the only activity that truly captivated him. Joseph learned everything on his own, from scratch, without study or mentors. At the age of 20, he went on a trip to South Africa to put his ideas into practice and gain experience.

As a result, Hoeflener grew from a self-taught photographer to a recognized master, famous for his laconic black-and-white landscapes, as well as the series of photographs “Jet Airliner” and “Frozen History.”
Simplicity is difficult. And I want to return to analyzing even the simplest work of a photographer again. Studying the depths and comprehending the essence does not get boring, on the contrary. Each time the images draw you deeper, revealing the viewer’s subconscious.
Hoflener's work is almost perfect photography - cool, deep, pure and almost perfect. A carefully verified combination of black and white surfaces and impeccable lines and angles suggests that the master was able to comprehend some special secret of the universe, the time for which has not yet come for others.
