Us and them: a touching photo project about best friends (18 photos)

The idea for the project “A Dog is a Best Friend” came to an Israeli to photographer Dan Balilti not entirely out of a desire to once again prove similarity between owners and their pets. The main goal was to show how people are transformed next to the most devoted creatures in the world.





Most of the dogs captured in the photo were taken from shelters. Just like Dan's own dog. And with this series of photographs Balilti decided show how animals have a beneficial effect on people, helping them to open up and enhance the best personality traits.

Caring for dogs is what teaches people to be better people. They become the best version of themselves when they are with their family animals. And even when they are not around, dog owners behave more decent than others.
