A painting by a humanoid robot will be put up for auction for the first time (7 photos)
Ai-Da will be the first robot artist to be auctioned. The painting, titled "The God of Artificial Intelligence", is a portrait of Alan Turing, the father of modern computing. Sotheby's is expecting the sale to fetch up to £150,000.
Ai-Da, created by Oxford expert Aidan Meller, is named after the English mathematician and pioneering computer programmer Ada Lovelace.
The artist painted the portrait using AI algorithms, cameras in her eyeballs and her robotic arm.
The two-meter canvas is expected to cost between £100,000 and £150,000.
