German photographer and sci-fi fan Alex Forst loves taking pictures of the night sky mixed with unusual landscapes. The amateur photographer, who now lives in Walchwil, Switzerland, has been photographing the starry sky at night for three years. Check out his cool work!

To photograph the night sky, the photographer uses a star tracker - a special device that allows you to photograph the starry sky or individual celestial bodies at long and ultra-long shutter speeds (over 30 seconds) without characteristic blurring.

The photographer himself says that his inspiration for photographing the starry night sky was his love for science fiction and everything related to space. "I like it when people get emotional or start dreaming when they see my pictures. It means I'm doing a good job," says the photographer.
