Below the tip of the iceberg: impressive photographs by Tobias Friedrich (12 photos)
Scientists have long confirmed the fact that the visible part of the iceberg above the water is only 10% of its total size. 39-year-old German photographer Tobias Friedrich plunged into the uncharted depths of Greenland to show us the majesty and unique beauty of the ice blocks. Back in 2007, Friedrich became the best underwater photographer in the world. Traveling from the tropics to the Arctic, he cannot imagine his life without seas and oceans.
Tobias Friedrich captured the different shapes, sizes and textures of icebergs, proving that each one is unique. These photographs are a reminder of the consequences of global warming, a call to act, to prevent the ice blocks from melting.
