Vietnamese Studio XQ Dalat Hand-Embroiders Hyperrealistic Paintings with Silk (17 works)
Hand embroidery on silk is a long-standing Vietnamese tradition, but the craft only recently reached its peak when two talented individuals—an embroiderer and an artist—decided to combine their skills and founded the country's most successful hand embroidery studio.
XQ Dalat Studio was founded by talented craftswoman Hoang Le Xuan, who has inherited ancient embroidery techniques, and her husband, artist Vo Van Quan. Together, they conceive concepts for embroidered paintings and develop new techniques to bring them to life.
The unprecedented level of realism and detail in XQ Dalat's embroidered masterpieces has led the small family business to national and then international success.
