It's a shame this wonderful artist died so early.





Born November 28, 1960, in the village of Grakhovo, Udmurt ASSR, he lived and worked in Moscow.

In 1987, he graduated from the V. I. Surikov Moscow Art Institute, studying under V. G. Tsyplakov.

Since 1998, he has been a member of the Union of Artists.

In 2001, he was elected a Corresponding Member of the Academy of Arts.

Grigory Leontyevich Chaynikov died on September 7, 2008, in Moscow from a lung disease.
