The picture is static and dynamic at the same time: the characters watch each other, examine each other, standing still. But the shadow and the storm cloud are clearly moving, and the boy is so far from home..

The viewer's anxiety most likely arises from identifying themselves with the residents of the house, who do not suspect that someone's attentive eyes are watching them from the street, through the night.

Unlike the three previous ones, in this picture the dogs are turned to face the viewer. They are sitting together at the table in front of a plate of food, and everything would be fine, but the central individual's gaze is too direct. Dogs do not look a person in the eye so intently.



And the expressions on the dogs' faces are also atypical. The one in the center has a slight grin, as if she is plotting something and is about to speak. The one on the left has a demonic face.

In this picture, the dogs seem to be just playing, but they are toying with a toy that looks very much like a person. A baby is watching them with tears in his eyes, and a kitten is looking out from behind the door, upset and fearful. They are both so small!



There is no one to stand up for the human toy, the baby and the kitten look at what is happening with resignation, and I really don’t want them to decide to go out the door. I feel sorry for the toy, the baby and the kitten too, but this picture has a sequel. Frankly, it also raises questions.



Here we see that the dogs have torn the toy to shreds. At the same time, the child rejoices. His facial expression is quite predatory. Apparently he is glad that the dogs got what they deserved, since they flew off in different directions. And for some reason he doesn't feel sorry for the toy person at all. Only the kitten is adequate: he is horrified by what happened.
