Although Turkey is officially considered a secular state, Islam has a strong influence among its population. Therefore, photographers working in the nude genre in this country must possess considerable courage. Istanbul-based photographer Kaan Altindal is one such bold artist.

Kaan Altindal was born and raised in Istanbul. He lives and works in this city, finding inspiration in its women. Kaan doesn't search for models through specialized resources. The beauties in his photographs are acquaintances or simply random girls he meets on the street.

The photographer prefers a simple, minimalist setting. All photos are taken on city streets or in ordinary apartments. Kaan Altından carefully sets the lighting for each shot and takes multiple shots to select the most striking one.

Altından is known not only in his country but also abroad. His photographs have won prizes in international competitions and participated in major exhibitions. The master works not only with digital equipment but also with many expressive works shot on film cameras.
