Nature Photographer of the Year Winners (7 photos)

From more than 24,700 photographs submitted from 96 countries, the jury selected the most striking, capturing the beauty and vulnerability of natural ecosystems. The top prize and title went to Norwegian photographer Asmund Keilen for his photograph of a bird against a bright sun. Exceptional works were also recognized in various categories, including a portrait of a young gorilla with a butterfly, and dramatic scenes featuring polar bears, lions, and other amazing animals.
