The finalists for the annual Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards have been announced. Among them are a flying squirrel, a pensive toad, a duck with steam coming out of its mouth, and other equally hilarious shots.

The organizers of the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards (CWPA) have selected the 2025 finalists. The winners will be announced on December 9, 2025, at the awards ceremony at the OXO Gallery in London.

From December 10th to 14th, a free exhibition of all the 2025 finalists' work was held at the same venue. The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards was founded in 2015 by photographer Paul Joynson-Hicks, MBE, who was then working in Tanzania. He was soon joined by photographer Tom Sullam, and a couple of years later by Michelle Wood.

The competition is open to both professionals and amateurs passionate about wildlife photography. Every year, a jury selects the best entries in various categories from thousands of funny animal photographs from around the world. A separate category is the Audience Award, awarded based on online voting. The project is conceived as a fun way to remind people of the need to protect wildlife, and to do so with a smile.
