"In 2013, I was filming for Slow Food magazine in the Balkan Mountains of Serbia, near the border with Bulgaria. I had to document one of the last herds of Karakachan sheep, and there was a shepherd named Nikola. After talking with him, I realized that he had a lot of love and treats his animals with care. His stories inspired me to make this portrait, which conveys his attitude and care,” shared Ivo.
