The jury of the prestigious annual World Sports Photography Awards announced winners in 24 categories. The overall gold medalist was Patrick Smith with a photo of the golfer in the clouds. Silver went to Octavio Passos and bronze to Phil Noble. Here are the best sports photos of this year.
