Drawings by Thomas Goletz (207 works)
It started almost 20 years ago... Once upon a time there was a graphic artist named Thomas Goletz, who wanted to “spell a little joy into the hearts of all people” with his drawings. And so he drew until finally something wonderful and special came into being...
It happened on August 24, 1990, when Thomas drew the very first Diddle on paper and immediately realized that just at that moment a cult hero was born!
However, back then Diddle was not exactly the cute little mouse that “sneaked” into the hearts of all mankind as we know him today, and then he didn’t look quite like the real Diddle - the bulge mouse!
The first "Diddle", who didn't even have a name back then, looked more like a kangaroo in overalls, recognizable as a kangaroo thanks to his large feet.
As soon as the young graphic artist put his first sketches on paper, he felt that the kangaroo was too cumbersome. “Smaller, sweeter and homely” he was supposed to become - this is how the jerboa mouse was born.
