Huge poles of cold and ice are some of the most important temperature regulators on the planet. Glaciers prevent the surface from overheating and hold back the oceans that could flood the land. Surely, everyone has heard about global warming, and that ice masses have begun to actively melt, which directly affects the lives of people around the world. In this post, you will see a kind of protest by artists against this problem.







Scientists are sounding the alarm about rising sea levels. In recent years, they have been growing by 3.2 millimeters per year and are predicted to accelerate in the coming decades.

The artist brought twelve large blocks of ice from Greenland and installed them in a circle in squares in Copenhagen, Paris and London. Artist: "When people read the news about global warming, it's all very abstract for them, so there's no full understanding of the problem."



Next to the ice blocks, the artists installed a sign: "This ice is 50 to 100 thousand years old. Just think: the Bible is two thousand years old, the French Revolution happened yesterday, and here you see 50 thousand years that are melting in a week. In Greenland, 10 thousand blocks like these melt every second."
