Artist Pavel Brat opened an exhibition in Voronezh called "Garden of Eden". And he cobbled together its exposition from flowers collected from cemetery dumps.



Regarding his strange project, Brother said the following:

My task is the destruction of traditional values ​​that lie deeper than the layers of Orthodox gilding in our society; I am talking about the fear of the dead and other pre-modern cringe.

The exhibition with its "premodernist cringe" opened on January 9. And the next day it was closed by the owners of the premises where it was held. As the "creator" reported - because of an "anonymous denunciation".

This morning I received a call from the Creative Cluster "Station" and was informed that a letter had been received about me by the security service, which checked my social networks and decided to close the exhibition. Discrediting... well, no one will definitely send me an official letter about who I am here. I arrived at the start of the exhibition, but the security wouldn't even let me in, and then they told me that now I would only be able to get in for the dismantling... on Monday. That's basically it. Pooh-pooh-pooh...



In short, the cemetery installation was dismantled, but before that, some craftsmen held a fashion show in wedding dresses in these decorations:

With the fashion show, of course, it's a real shame. I said that I would dismantle everything, since I had nothing to do with the show, but they talked me into leaving it.

I asked them if it bothered me that a denunciation had been written about the flowers being from the cemetery trash cans? But no, tickets for their show had already been sold, and I wasn't in any announcements, so nothing bothered me, says Brat.



The owners of the premises that allocated it for the "Garden of Eden" exhibition declined to comment.
